DVD Picture:
Compared to the LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 9, the anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is refined, with good clarity. Viewed alone, the picture is quite pleasing. Images are generally sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered contrast and shadow delineation. Colors are vibrant with nice balance, accurate fleshtones and deep blacks.
