Story Synopsis:
Based on the novel by Ira Levin, Rosemary
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits minor improvements over the LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 29. Images are slightly soft, but background definition and clarity are quite pleasing. Colors exhibit subtle refinement in hues, and are more natural in appearance with good balance. Blacks are just a shade deeper than on the LaserDisc. Fine film grain is noticed, but rarely seems excessive. Though dated, the picture will surely please, especially for its age. On occasion, minor enhancement is noticed, and pixelization and shimmering images are infrequent. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is Dolby
