Story Synopsis:
Based on the novel by Blake Nelson, Girl stars Dominique Swain as Andrea Marr, a sweet kid heading for college who is anxious to experience womanhood. The love of her life is Todd Sparrow (Flanery), lead singer of the local rock band, The Color Green. Dropping her mundane boyfriend in anticipation of getting Todd to notice her, she succeeds in more ways than she is prepared for. But what has she become...a girlfriend or a groupie?
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits excellent quality. Images are sharp and finely detailed, with excellent clarity and definition throughout. Colors are nicely balanced, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues and deep blacks. The scenes in the club are rendered with realism and excellent depth; colors are rich, with a natural gradation of visual information between darkness and picture black. There are no blatant distractions, only artifacts, for a picture that will surely please throughout.
