DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits excellent quality for its age. Images are sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered background detail and definition. Colors are rich and well balanced, with full saturation, nicely rendered fleshtones and deep blacks. Sometimes the picture exhibits a soft edge, and fine film grain is revealed throughout. This classic film is given a polished look that is solid, with few artifacts to distract. Only occasional pixelization is apparent, but is never bothersome. (Suzanne Hodges)
