DVD Picture:
The 1.85:1 DVD is not anamorphically enhanced, and exhibits a soft picture throughout. Fine detail is lacking throughout. A slight yellowish-green tint is apparent throughout the color balance, with undefined blacks and no true whites. Shadow delineation is mediocre, with little definition in the darker scenes. The picture can be very busy with pixelization. Fine film grain and artifacts are noticed. This title falls short of the quality of today's DVDs-anamorphic or letterbox, perhaps due to its small-negative origination.
