DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD is very nice looking, with colors that are vibrant and nicely balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Colors are so vivid, they sometimes appear a tad pumped up. Images are quite sharp and detailed, though some scenes lack fine detail. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered. A bit of edge enhancement is occasionally noticed. There are a few instances in which a distracting artifact from the source element pops on screen, but overall artifacts are minimal. Pixelization is rarely noticed.
