Story Synopsis:
The tearjerker love tale of Autumn In New York has been told many times before...and most times told much better than this. A lecherous older guy (Gere) has made it his policy to use women for his own selfish whims and then toss them out like yesterday
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is easy-on-the-eyes, with images that are sharp, considering stylized efforts to give the picture a soft, dreamy feel. Depth and clarity are a bit wanting. The color scheme is warm and balanced throughout, with natural fleshtones and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered, with adequate visual information available in the darker scenes. The appearance of edge enhancement is minimally distracting. While the slightest bit of pixelization is noticed, the picture should surely please throughout. (Suzanne Hodges)
