The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a beautiful picture with crisp images, nicely rendered clarity and depth. Colors are rich and warm, with nicely balanced fleshtones and deep, pure blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are pleasing throughout. There is some edge enhancement apparent, at times giving the picture a hard edge. Pixelization is also an occasional distraction. Source element artifacts are infrequent for a picture that is quite clean throughout. (Suzanne Hodges)
