DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD nicely renders the dark characteristics of the picture that resembles the first two films. The stylized flashback scenes are splashed with vibrant color, while the scenes of the vengeance seeker and the crow are dark, with excellent shadow delineation and contrast. Images are sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered background definition. There are a few scenes in which the picture appears a bit undefined or plugged-up, but overall the quality should please. The 5.1-channel soundtracks are sheer, powerful exhibitions of sonic might, delivering a listening experience that is wholesome, engrossing and most importantly, intense.
