DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.00:1 DVD picture exhibits pleasing quality, with images that are slightly soft at times, but exhibit nice detail. The intricate costumes and locations are rendered in warm colors that nicely compliment the setting of the film. Hues are well balanced with deep, pure blacks. Edge enhancement can create a digitally harsh appearance, but otherwise the picture is quite smooth and solid. There is some occasional shimmering noticed in finer details. (Suzanne Hodges)
