    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is slightly dated, but exhibits otherwise pleasing quality. Images are sharp, with nicely rendered detail, though the darker scenes seem a bit plugged-up. Colors are well balanced and nicely saturated, with accurate fleshtones and generally deep blacks. Minor film grain and source element artifacts are detected, but nothing too excessive. Overall, the picture should not disappoint, exhibiting minimal edge enhancement or pixelization. Image quality fares slightly better than the original. (Suzanne Hodges)
