DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture has a soft, somewhat dreamy quality, but detail is nicely rendered nonetheless. Colors are rich and fully saturated, with vibrant hues, accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered throughout. The picture is smooth and solid with no distracting edge enhancement, and only occasional minor pixelization. While some may find the soft nature of the picture to be bothersome, it appears that the look is intentional. (Suzanne Hodges)
