DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits very slight improvements over the LaserDisc in terms of clarity. The picture has a documentary feel, utilizing different film formats. Some scenes appear oversaturated and plugged-up, while others are generally well balanced. At times, images are sharp, but most scenes are wanting in detail, appearing focus. Source element artifacts are apparent throughout. Overall, image quality looks mediocre at best, but nicely represents Harmony Korine
