DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture pops from the screen with vibrant colors, balanced fleshtones, and deep blacks. While images are sharp and detailed, some are filtered with soft, hazy qualities. Though intentional, some may find the soft scenes a bit bothersome compared to the more detailed scenes. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered. Edge enhancement is noticed on occasion, but there is no distracting pixelization. Overall, image quality should be quite satisfying throughout.
