Arrogant recruit Roland Bozz (Farrell) has just been released from his most recent trip to the stockade only to find himself on a transport vehicle headed for Tigerland, the toughest training facility in the Army. What
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a slightly dark, harshly contrasted, and gritty picture that appropriately delivers a dramatic, deglamorized war experience. Colors are well balanced, with generally accurate fleshtones and deep, solid blacks, but green overtones, affecting whites and fleshtones, are predominant on the battlefield in the barracks. Film grain is noticed throughout, but rather than distracting, its presence adds to the gritty experience. Viewing in a completely blackened room is recommended due to the slightly dark character.
