Story Synopsis:
One of the most controversial films of its time, The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover is a sexually provocative look at an outrageous, satirical, and excessive world. The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a slightly dark picture, but one that should be quite pleasing for fans of this cult classic. The color scheme is stylized with rich, bold hues, deep blacks, and well-balanced fleshtones. Images are generally sharp, but fine details are wanting at times.
