DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a very nice looking picture, with images that are sharp and detailed. Some scenes appear smeared or out of focus. Colors can be vibrant, with well balanced fleshtones and deep blacks. There is some edge enhancement apparent, but otherwise the picture is quite clean. The source is revealing of minor artifacts and occasional film grain. The picture should surely please those who have seen the LaserDisc. (Suzanne Hodges)
