  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Cashing in on the success of the first two Ralph Macchio/Pat Morita martial arts vehicles, The Karate Kid Part III finds Daniel-son (Macchio) going against the wishes of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi (Morita). Instructed to ignore threats and avoid a tournament against his nemesis, Daniel finds himself at odds with his much-adored teacher when it turns out he needs Miyagi the most. Includes the same weak filmographies included with Part II. (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits images that are sharp and nicely defined, with good contrast and shadow delineation. Colors are well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. While edge enhancement can be a problem, other distractions are minimal. The source element is revealing occasional flecks of dirt and artifacts. The picture is quite solid, and should be quite pleasing overall. (Suzanne Hodges)
