    Story Synopsis:
    This is a made-for-TV version of the 1952 classic that starred Gary Cooper but, make no mistake, this movie can stand on its own. Tom Skeritt plays tough-but-fair lawman Will Kane, who, newly wed, vows to his bride (Thompson) that he will leave his dangerous profession behind. But soon, Will hears word that Frank Miller (Madsen) a vicious man he sent to prison some years back has been released and is on his way and looking for a showdown at

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a lovely picture with satisfying detail and clarity. Though some scenes exhibit an intentionally soft focus, much of the picture is sharp and crisp. Colors are rich and well balanced throughout. Fine details shimmer slightly on occasion. Though infrequent, pixelization gives the picture a digitally harsh appearance. There is also some minor edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
