Story Synopsis:
On a dark, er, bright night in a cemetery, two angry men, including Tommy Jarvis (Mathews) come to exact revenge on Jason
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits images that are slightly soft, but detail is generally satisfying. Colors are well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep endless blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are generally pleasing. Edge enhancement can be bothersome, but the picture is otherwise solid, with little pixelization Source element artifacts are occasionally revealed. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
The Dolby Digital 2.0 matrix surround soundtrack is quite engaging and also palpably spacious at times. Fidelity, however is noticeably dated. The predominant multichannel element is the music, gently to moderately filling the surrounds, and with some effective distribution of sound effects around the listener. The dated fidelity limits the natural tonality of voices. There is also a noticeable muffling in the upper-midrange. Overall, this soundtrack certainly shows signs of its age, but also serves its storytelling purpose quite effectively. (Perry Sun)
