DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a generally pleasing picture, with images that are sharp, with good detail and definition. Colors appear to be well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered, with good visual information available in the darkest scenes. Source element artifacts and occasional film grain are revealed. Pixelization and edge enhancement can be distracting, and at times the picture appears slightly unstable and jumpy. (Suzanne Hodges)
