DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture has a dated quality, with images that can be very soft, though, occasionally, detail can be nicely rendered. Colors are generally well balanced, with rich hues, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. While exterior scenes can appear natural in terms of color fidelity, interiors are often plugged-up and slightly smeared. The source element is revealing of dirt, artifacts, and film grain. There is some edge enhancement apparent, but pixelization is not a problem. (Suzanne Hodges)

  WSR DVD-ROM Review
DVD-ROM Enhancements Rating:
Mediocre

DVD-ROM Review:
After inserting the disc into your DVD-ROM drive, you are brought to the DVD-ROM main menu, which has the typical Universal links of Features, Script-to-Scene, and Subscribe to the DVD Newsletter. In the Features section, you can find links to the five DVD-Video special features. Clicking on a link will send you to the DVD-Video portion of the disc directly to the feature that you chose. The usual format for Universal's Script-to-Scene section is implemented here, with the same basic features you can find on all the rest, including the ability to print the entire script or the script by the chapters of the DVD. When playing the movie from your PC, you are brought directly to the DVD-Video main menu, which works well using your mouse. Here is another title that follows that Universal cookie cutter DVD-ROM model. The addition of a viewable and printable script is a great feature, though, so a Mediocre seems to suffice.
