DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced Superbit DVD picture (framed at 2.35:1) exhibits a crisp, subtly cleaner picture than the previously reviewed DVD. Colors appear similar to the previous version, if not just slightly richer. Hues are well balanced throughout, with natural fleshtones, and deep, true blacks. While the picture is slightly cleaner, and with less noise, there are still signs of edge enhancement. As well, the same source element artifacts are apparent on both versions. Like the differences between the other Superbit titles we have reviewed, this DVD utilizes a higher bit rate, but visually, the differences between the two versions are not astronomical.
