DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.55:1 DVD exhibits a dated picture that can be generally sharp, but is often wanting in fine detail. Colors are generally rich and well balanced, with nicely rendered fleshtones and generally deep blacks. At times images appear smeared, but the effect is due to loss of detail caused by apparent noise reduction. Edge enhancement can be distracting at times. The source element is revealing of dirt, artifacts, scratches, and film grain. (Suzanne Hodges)
