DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture exhibits slightly soft images, though detail can be nicely rendered. Colors are well balanced throughout. Shimmering details and minor aliasing problems are noticed. The source element is revealing of minor artifacts and scratches, particularly in the time traveling phone booth sequences. There is minor smearing and loss of detail noticed, which could be attributed to noise reduction. Neither excellent nor bogus, the picture quality should satisfy. (Suzanne Hodges)
