Story Synopsis:
Benjamin Martin (Gibson), was a hero in the French And Indian War, but guilt over his actions, and after the death of his wife, he makes a vow of pacifism and raises his children and works his South Carolina farm in solitude. That is, until
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced Superbit DVD, framed at 2.40:1, exhibits subtle improvements over the previously released DVD. Upon very close examination, fine edges have a cleaner appearance; lacking a minute halo which gives edges a slightly blurred appearance on the previous DVD. Colors are warm and natural, with good balance, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. This is a fine DVD picture, and one that edges out the previous version with a crisp, clean picture. Unfortunately, edge enhancement remains a problem. (Suzanne Hodges)
