The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD has a hazy, undersaturated appearance, yet colors remain nicely balanced, with accurate fleshtones. Soundtrack:
The audio presentation seems quite suitable for the nature of this film. The nicely recorded music passages fill the listening space, penetrating the surrounds, and are generally enjoyable to experience. Otherwise, the soundstage originates primarily from the screen channels, and there is a rather subtle sense of expansion. The center channel tends to predominate, particularly in dialogue-centric scenes. Voices sound impressively natural, with compelling spatial consistency with the visuals. For this soundtrack, the low-end comes mainly from the music, which has a palpably beating presence, accompanied by an abundance of sub-25 Hz activity in the main channels as well as gentle .1 LFE activity.
