Story Synopsis:
Based on the BBC television series created by Terry Nation, Dr. Who And The Daleks tells the thrilling tale of The Doctor and his space-travel adventures. Eccentric scientific genius and Time Lord, Dr. Who (Cushing) created the T.A.R.D.I.S. (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space), a remarkable time machine disguised as an ordinary police callbox. But when the Doctor, his granddaughters, and a friend are accidentally transported to the mysterious planet Skaro, they discover a race of blonde-haired gentle humanoids under siege by the evil robot-like Daleks. The Doctor cannot leave these people in terror, and vows to save them.

The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD picture exhibits good image quality, with slightly soft images, but nicely rendered detail. Colors are dated, but well balanced, with slightly brownish fleshtones and generally deep blacks. The source element is clean, with few artifacts and minor film grain. On rare occasions, edge enhancement or pixelization can be noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
