DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits images that are generally pleasing. Colors appear well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are generally sharp and detailed, with good contrast and shadow delineation. Fine background details tend to appear blurred at times. The source element is revealing of minor film grain and a few flecks of dirt. Edge enhancement can be a problem, but pixelization is infrequently detected. (Suzanne Hodges)
