DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits similar picture quality to its predecessor (Every Which Way But Loose), with generally sharp images. Despite a dated appearance, colors appear to be nicely rendered, with well-balanced hues, accurate fleshtones, and generally deep blacks. Contrast seems a bit low at times, but shadow delineation is satisfactory. The source element is revealing of scratches, dirt, and film grain, which add to the dated look of the picture.
