DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits image quality that is generally satisfying. The picture is generally sharp, but fine details are limited. Though appearing a bit dated, colors are well balanced, with slightly brownish fleshtones and deep, undefined blacks. There is a bit of pixelization noticed, which tends to break up the finer details, but edge enhancement is limited. The source element is revealing of some dirt and artifacts, and some scenes exhibit an excessive amount of film grain. (Suzanne Hodges)
