    Eugene van Wingerdt (Glenn) is The Barber in a small town who is idling a dark secret. Twenty years earlier he was arrested for several gruesome murders but never convicted due to insufficient evidence. The detective in charge of the case killed himself in despair. Now the detective’s son is in town, with a few secrets of his own. is he seeking revenge or hoping to learn at the feet of the master? (Gary Reber)

    Special features include an alternate ending (HD 03:19), four deleted scenes (HD 09:33), two extended scenes (HD 03:10), a trailer, and upfront previews.

    The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture appears to be photographed digitally and though low budget, exhibits an overall natural appearance. The color palette is naturally hued with tonal balance. Contrast is decent, with solid blacks and revealing shadow delineation. Fleshtones also appear naturally hued. Resolution is nicely detailed, especially during close-ups. This is a decent visual presentation that is satisfying. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack delivers excellent fidelity with good dialogue spatial integration. Atmospherics and sound effects heighten the realism. The music score is active throughout and delivers excellent fidelity while expanding to the surrounds for envelopment. The .1 LFE energy sounds natural, not exaggerated. While dialogue focused, there is plenty of suspenseful sonics to heighten the tension. (Gary Reber)
