The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture is quite natural in appearance, with a well-balanced color palette that exhibits rich and warm hues. At times the colors in clothing are vividly rendered, which provides good contrast. Blacks and shadow delineation are nicely defined. Fleshtones are naturally hued throughout. Resolution is excellent, with fine detail revealed in facial features, hair, clothing, and object texture that enhances the sense of realism. This is a good-looking picture that is pleasing throughout. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventionally produced with a monaural focus due to the extensive dialogue. Atmospherics and sound effects are essentially nuanced. The music score provides a subtle background effect and effective transitions. Fidelity is generally good. Dialogue sounds absolutely natural, with good spatial integration. This is a satisfying soundtrack that nicely supports the storytelling. (Gary Reber)
