    In Inferno, the famous symbolist Robert Langdon (Hanks) wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia and finds himself the target of a manhunt. Langdon teams up with Sienna Brooks (Jones), a doctor he hopes will help recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a virus that would wipe out half of the world's population. Also available in a 4K UltraHD version. (Gary Reber)

    The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture exhibits a saturated color palette that is warmly and richly hued. The appearance is nicely cinematic and natural, with excellent contrast. Colors are earthy in large measure, with stone facades lining the narrow streets of Florence. Lighting effects provide effective highlights, which contrast the generally dark clothing of the characters and police. Contrast is excellent, with deep black levels and revealing shadow delineation. Fleshtones are realistic throughout. Resolution is excellent, with fine texture detail exhibited throughout, as well as facial features, hair, and clothing features. This is visually a wonderfully engaging visual experience that is often depictive of beautiful imagery. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is at times nicely dynamic with a mood-inducing Hans Zimmer orchestral score. Atmospherics are wonderfully realistic as well as Foley effects. Sound effects also deliver realism. Dialogue is inconsistent in indelibility quality and spatial inebriation, and often quite forward sounding and muffled. Deep bass is occasional but generally natural sounding. The orchestral score is recorded nicely and provides an enveloping sense of surround, and at times with aggressive intensity. Other than the poor dialogue presentation, the other sound elements deliver an effective sonic experience, which at times sounds holosonic®. (Gary Reber)
