    Everyone knows America is a land of immigrants, but how much do we really know about what drove those migrations in the first place? America: Promised Land uncovers the great forces in history that helped shape the country we live in today. Told primarily through enhanced graphics, this History Channel special follow the migratory journeys of real people in history, revealing surprising facts along the way. Each chronological hour focuses on a specific theme—Land, War, Opportunity, and Disaster—to tell the story of how the experiences of our ancestors determined how we ended up where we are. Among the historical events covered are the creation of the postage stamp by the Irish, the aid Germans provided to the Union Army in the Civil War, and the Great Migration of African-Americans to the North. With geographical imagery and spectacular CGI effects, the series features interviews with descendants of the historical figures whose stories are told throughout the documentary. (Gary Reber)

    The 1.78:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was photographed digitally. The imagery looks terrific. The CGI depiction is stunning and so educational. The telling of our nation’s historical roots is achieved with images of historians’ narration coupled with live action depictions of the events. The image is first rate with often-spectacular backdrops and characterizations of the people who settled America. Color fidelity is excellent. This is a MUST OWN documentary that is a first-rate education for the entire family. (Gary Reber)

    The Dolby Digital 2.0-channel soundtrack, while limited to stereo, features excellent narration and live-action dialogue, along with a great supportive orchestral score that spans the soundstage. This is an effective soundtrack in support of an incredible documentary about our historical roots. (Gary Reber)

I also feel that you are a good source for what is coming out next, trends etc. I think you dig a little deeper in your tests of equipment.
