    In Inconceivable, a family befriends a struggling single mother and her daughter and invites them into their home, with the mother as their nanny and—eventually—their surrogate mother. But soon, strange behavior begins to surface and they realize that things are not what they seem and that the woman they’re entrusted their lives to may have other intentions. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include commentary with Director Jonathan Baker, a behind-the-scenes featurette (HD 11:41), a deleted scene (HD 0:37), cast and crew interviews (HD 52:38), upfront previews, and an UltraViolet digital copy.

    The 2.38:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO P6 4K Ultra HD HDR display, unconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was digitally sourced. The picture is terrific. The color palette is perfectly natural throughout, Primaries are nicely saturated and at times nicely highlighted. Hues are vivid yet warm and rich. Fleshtones are accurately rendered. Contrast is excellent with deep, inky blacks and revealing shadow delineation, as well as effective lighting highlights. Resolution also is excellent throughout, from cityscape panoramas to the finest detail in facial features, hair, clothing and object textures, especially among furniture, decorations, and structural qualities. This is an especially fine digitally sourced picture that is wonderful to view. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused throughout. Ambience and atmospherics also are mostly frontal focused. An occasional sound effect occurs during scenes with some violence. The orchestral music score spans the soundstage and extends subtlety to the surrounds. This is mostly a reserved, quiet soundtrack with moments of tension and violence. (Gary Reber)

    Reason #56 Why Readers Love Widescreen Review:

    I am most interested in the formats (audio) of DVDs. I buy a DVD, and then it is re-introduced in a deluxe package some time later. I am not that interested in the extras, but the DVD is invariably upgraded in sound. This is usually DTS ES surround but in some cases DTS ES 6.1 (discrete). Most reviews (Home Theater, Stereophile Guide To Home Theater, Sound And Vision) do not address this situation. I am subscribing to Widescreen Review, hopefully, to solve this problem. I am looking forward to my first issue and a long relationship with your magazine.
