In "Ralph Breaks The Internet," Ralph (Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope (Silverman) risk it all by traveling to the Internet in search of a part to save her game. When Vanellope embraces this thrilling new world, Ralph realizes he may lose the only friend he's ever had. (Gary Reber)

Special features include the featurettes: "How We Broke The Internet" (HD 32:57), "Surfing For Easter Eggs" (HD 03:36) and "The Music" (HD 10:18); five deleted scenes; two music videos; upfront previews; and a Movies Anywhere digital code.

The 2.39:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 Ultra HD HDR10/Dolby Vision picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K (not 4K) master Digital Intermediate format. As the 2K Digital Intermediate has been upconverted to 2160p, there is no real gain in native resolution. The animated picture exhibits a wide color spectrum with incredible shadings. Primaries are rich and the range of pastels is impressive. As well, this color palette is amazing in its nuances. HDR contrast is well balanced throughout with impressive highlights and lighting. Resolution varies from very nuanced detail during close-ups, with softer backgrounds, but not in any unsatisfactory way. WOW! segments are from 02:25 to 02:58, 6:26 to 08:52, 01:09:45 to 01:12:30, 01:24:42 to 01;25:48 and 01:30"28 to 01:32:16.

This is a wonderfully beautiful animated picture with an impressive color palette that will enchant audiences of all ages. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is terrific with all manner of sound effects, including Foley that are fun to zero in on. The other element that is strong is the orchestral score. The music perfectly supports the storytelling and provides the heft to the action scenes. The soundstage is incredibly wide and deep and extends aggressively to the surrounds and height layer. Sound effects are often directionalized in the soundstage and the surrounds, resulting in a very dimensional holosonic® experience. Dialogue is generally well integrated spatially, though, the ADR is apparent. Ralph's narration is well positioned slightly forward. Clarity and dynamics are superb throughout.

The Immersive Sound element features the lively music extension, the reverberant voices of Ralph and Vanellope caught in the TRON video game, the "Start Your Engines" announcement at the race track, Ralph and reverbent voices in various scenes, Ralph's and Vanellope's voices and others as well are heard in numerous segments throughout the movie (even in a sequence of flying through the Internet), Internet traffic sounds, a female announcer of Internet traffic conditions, game announcers, various whizzing sounds and crashes, an Internet "Under Attack" female voice, and Ralph's "Monster" voice.

This is a wonderfully well-crafted soundtrack that is engaging. (Gary Reber)
