    Inspired by the incredible true story of young Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Jones), "On The Basis Of Sex" follows the revolutionary lawyer turned U.S. Supreme Court Justice as she fights to overturn over a century of gender discrimination. When Ruth takes on a ground-breaking case, she knows the outcome could alter the courts' view of gender discrimination. Stronger together, Ruth teams up with her husband, Martin Ginsburg (Hammer), to fight for the case that catapults her to become one of the most important figures of our time. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include the featurettes "A Supreme Team" (HD 06:24), "Legacy Of Justice" (HD 03:04) and "Martin And Ruth: A Loving Partnership (HD 03:04); upfront previews; and a Movies Anywhere digital code.

    The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was photographed digitally using the Arri Alexa Mini and SXT camera systems and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. Picture quality is excellent. Naturalness is exhibited throughout with generally bright appearance settings. The color palette is naturally warm and rich with excellent hue saturation. Fleshtones are naturally hued throughout, Color contrasts provide good variances. Contrast is excellent, with excellent production design to keep the setting busy, with effective lighting accents, deep bass and reveling shadow delineation. Resolution is good, though, a tad soft. Close-ups should be meticulously detailed but instead are selectively softer, though, there are instances of excellent detail. Overall, this is a pleasing visual experience with a natural, colorful palette. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is primarily frontal focused with dialogue the prominent sound element. The sound is nicely enveloping throughout, including ambiance. The music, especially extends to the surrounds to fully envelope the soundfield with a strong presence. Bass extension sounds perfectly natural with excellent body. Dialogue is intelligible throughout but often ADR and forward sounding. This is an engaging soundtrack, which stirs the feeling that there is a sense of what's "right" in the making of the laws of the country. (Gary Reber)
