David (Soto) and Creeper (LaBeouf) are "tax collectors" for the crime lord Wizard, collecting his cut from the profits of local gangs' illicit dealings. But when Wizard's old rival returns to Los Angeles from Mexico, the business is upended, and David finds himself desperate to protect what matters more to him than anything else: his family. (Gary Reber)

Special featues include an extended opening (HD 06:02) and the featurettes "Tax Collection Threat" (HD 04:49) and "Chat With Sensei" (HD 01.31).

The 1.85:1 2160p HEVC.265 Ultra HD HDR10 picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K (not 4K) master Digital Intermediate format. As the 2K Digital Intermediate has been upconverted to 2160p, there is no real gain in native resolution. The picture exhibits a dark but generally natural appearance. The color palette is darkish, though, reds are deep and nicely saturated. The setting is Los Angeles and the streets and buildings look realistic. Fleshtones are natural in appearance. Contrast is generally good with deep blacks and shadows that are revealing. Resolution is excellent with fine detail especially revealing in facial details such as skin pores, lines, hair and beads. Clothing detail is excellent as well as object texture. This is a darkish stylized picture that is terrific. (Gary Reber)

The DTS HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is rather frontal focused, though, subtle surround envelopment intensifies when the music punches through. The music carries a deep bass rhythmic signature, which encompasses the soundfield. Atmospherics sound realistic. Sound effects effectively support the action with powerful and realistic gunfire. Dialogue is natural with good spatial integration, with English subtitles when the language switches to Spanish. This is a dark soundtrack that nicely complements the picture, for a satisfying experience. (Gary Reber)
