In "Flashback," Fredrick Fitzell (O'Brien) is living his best life—until he starts having horrific visions of Cindy (Monroe), a girl who vanished in high school. After reaching out to old friends with whom he used to take a mystery drug called Mercury, Fredrick realizes the only way to stop the visions lies deep within his own memories, so he embarks on a terrifying mental odyssey to learn the truth. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Director Christopher MacBride, three deleted scenes (HD 03:55), a trailer and a digital code.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was photographed digitally in anamorphic Panavision® and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. The imagery shifts quickly form one period of time to another as Freddy recalls memories. Picture quality is generally good with a natural realistic appearance with a slightly edgy feel. At times, colors are stylized for effect. Otherwise, hues are nicely saturated and natural. Fleshtones vary in the stylized lighting. Lighting effects enhance the visuals. Contrast is wide with bright spot lighting against dark shadowy settings with varying black levels. Resolution is generally soft, though, at times detail is heightened. The picture is full of drug-induced imagery that is compelling. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack has very deep sub-25 Hz bass energy in the soundfield with creepy low-frequency sounds enveloping the soundfield. These sounds create an atmospheric mood of a mysterious nature. The synthesizer score is prevalent. Dialogue echo is directionalized. Atmospherics generally are realistic. Sound effects jolt out with sudden intensity. Surround energy is often intense and always enveloping. Dialogue is a bit forward, though, at times well integrated spatially.
