In "The Childe," in a desperate attempt to secure funds for his mother's surgery, an amateur boxer searches for the wealthy estranged father he's never met. But after a lead takes him from the Philippines to Korea, he is relentlessly pursued by a quirky yet highly dangerous man. As additional entities join in his pursuit and cause chaos, he will be forced to confront a shocking truth that may cost him his life. (Gary Reber)

Special features include the trailer and upfront previews.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits a slight greenish tint to the proceedings at times, which affects the color fidelity, which suffers in pure naturalness. Some scenes do appear natural. And flesh tones retain a fairly natural hue. Contrast appears crushed with dull white levels, weak shadow delineation. Blacks appear deep. Resolution is generally acceptable especially during closeups. This is a picture with compelling imagery that keep one captivated. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio Korean language 5.1-channel soundtrack is exciting at times with powerful sound effects, particularly the sounds of aggressive car squealing during chases and intense gunfights. Atmospherics sound realistic. Deep bass is powerful and at times extends to sub-20 Hz frequencies. The orchestral score is a also a powerful element in the mix with a wide and deep soundstage that aggressively extends to the surrounds. Surround energy in general is nicely aggressive and dimensionally enveloping. Dialogue is a mixture of Korean, with English subtitles, and English, with both generally well integrated spatially, This is a stirring holosonic® soundtrack that is fully engaging. (Gary Reber)
