    In Easy A, a clean-cut high school girl (Stone) takes action after a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out. She sees her life paralleling Heater Prynne's in The Scarlet Letter, which she is currently studying in school—until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.     The 1080p AVC picture is digitally sourced, with generally good detail and color treatment, though, fleshtones are inconsistent, at times orange hued. The color palette is warmly and richly hued, and at times, expressive, with vibrant color. Contrast is generally well balanced, with acceptable shadow delineation and deep blacks. Overall, this is a pleasing picture but not particularly distinguished. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventional, with a monaural focus throughout, except for the aggressive surround-infused pop music score. Dialogue is intelligible but lacking in spatial integration. The narration by Emma Stone is nicely balanced against the other elements. Overall, the sound is supportive of the storytelling but not particularly distinguished. (Gary Reber)
