In "Blink Twice," when tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) meets cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) at his fundraising gala, sparks fly. He invites her to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island. It's paradise. Wild nights blend into sun soaked days and everyone's having a great time. No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things start to happen, Frida begins to question her reality. There is something wrong with this place. She'll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive. (Gary Reber)

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally in anamorphic Panavision® using the Arri Alexa Mini LF camera system and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits a strong, saturated color palette with rich and warm hues. Primaries are strong, especially reds, greens and blues, The setting is an island, a beautiful old "plantation" house and various outdoor settings. The colors appear vivid but natural. Flesh tones are generally naturally hued but at times, such as in candle light situations, appear slightly reddish-orange. Contrast is generally good, but night scenes tend to exhibit poor shadow delineation. Black levels are natural as are white levels. Resolution during closeups is revealing of facial features such as skin pores, freckles, lines and hair. House interiors are nicely defined. Clothing is revealing of fabric textures. This is a satisfying picture with a nice color spread. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack can be dynami sounding when the music crescendos forward, The music is spread wide with good imaging, and extends aggressively to the surrounds. Atmospherics sound realistic with good imaging. Sound effects also reflect good imaging and panning around the soundfield. Deep bass is infrequent and used as an effect. Dialogue is the focus and is intelligible throughout, as well as generally well integrated. This is a holosonic® soundtrack that builds in energy and terror. (Gary Reber)
