    Constable Shane Cooper (Kwanten) arrives in the small town of Red Hill in search of a quieter life. But, on Cooper's first day with the Red Hill Police Department, a convicted murderer escapes from prison and heads straight for Red Hill to kill the men who put him there. One by one, the townsmen fall, until Cooper discovers the shocking truth about the convict, and must challenge everything he believes in order to stop the massacre and bring justice to Red Hill.     The 1080p AVC picture is naturally photographed to impart a stark Australian frontier realism. The color palette is naturally hued, with warm and rich tones with a brownish weight that captures the natural landscape and subdueness of the frontier buildings. Fleshtones appear accurately rendered. Blacks are deep and solid. Shadow delineation is revealing. Resolution is good, with nicely detailed facial features, clothes, and object textures. This is a pleasing visual experience that conveys realism. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is effectively spatial and, at times dynamic, especially in the sounds of shotgun fire, which is accentuated with powerful .1 LFE energy. Foley and atmospheric sound effects are well recorded. Dialogue sounds naturally spatial and integrated. Surround envelopment is, at times, aggressively enveloping, with directionalized sounds. The music score is nicely recorded, with a wide and deep soundstage that extends to the surround channels, for an effective enveloping presence. The thunderstorm sound effects are powerfully dynamic and spatially dimensional. (Gary Reber)

We love our widescreen TV and thoroughly enjoy spending many nights in front of it.
