The 1.90:1 1080p AVC picture is superb, with an animated saturated appearance that is very colorful, with rich and warm hues, Animated fleshtones exhibit a rosy cheek naturalness. The western texture treatment also is warmly vivid. Resolution is excellent, with detailed textures and defined edges, for an impressive sharp and clear look. Black levels are deep and solid. This is a wonderfully colorful and dimensional animated visual experience that is sure to mesmerize. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1 soundtrack is nicely produced with a terrifically wide and deep musical soundstage that extends to the surrounds, with an aggressive enveloping presence. Sound effects and Foley are well executed, Deep bass sounds natural and not overblown, providing a solid low-frequency foundation. At times the .1 LFE channel is dramatically engaged but overall is reserved, Dialogue is, of course, ADR, and wanting in spatial integration, The dialogue is quite forward and sounds "produced." Overall, this is a satisfying soundtrack that is complementary to the storytelling. (Gary Reber)
