The 2.32:1 MPEG-2 Blu-ray Disc picture does not look great, with blown-out whites and colors that seem to be slightly oversaturated. The problem with the picture is it just doesn't look at all natural, and if it is purposely stylized to look like this, it doesn't match the story line all that well. Underwater, the color scheme does look improved slightly, and detail usually seems to be improved in these scenes as well. The picture quality is disappointing, especially considering the beautiful locales. (Danny Richelieu)
The linear PCM 5.1-channel soundtrack uses a broad front stage, good surround integration, and well-recorded dialogue to deliver an enjoyable audio experience. Deep bass is not very prevalent, making the soundtrack sound very thin. (Danny Richelieu)
