The 2.35:1 VC-1-encoded HD DVD picture looks pretty good, with a well-saturated vibrant color palette. Details are not as crisp as some of the other HD DVD releases, as fine textures in things like faces and clothing materials are not fully resolved. Contrast is good. There's almost a complete lack of film grain and noise, which makes for a clean-looking picture. (Danny Richelieu)
With very good fidelity, the Dolby® Digital Plus 5.1-channel soundtrack is easy to listen to, but the timid mix doesn't make for an overly exciting experience. The LFE channel is used well for music and effects when needed, but the entire soundtrack really is limited. (Danny Richelieu)
