In Compliance, Sandra (Dowd) is a middle-aged manager at ChickWich, a fast-food restaurant. Becky (Walker) is a teenaged order girl who takes customers' orders. One stressful day (too many customers and too little bacon), a police officer phones the restaurant, accusing Becky of stealing money from a customer's purse, which she vehemently denies. Sandra, overwhelmed by her managerial responsibilities, complies with the officer's orders to detain Becky. This choice begins a nightmare that tragically blurs the lines between expedience and prudence, legality and reason—an unbelievable series of events and stupidity. (Gary Reber)

The 2.35:1 1080p AVC picture was photographed with the Arriflex D-21 digital camera system in a low-budget production that appears clean and generally well defined. Colors are naturally rendered and the imagery is clear, but otherwise this is not a particularly distinguished presentation. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused, with the occasional cello and drums insertion, which extends to the surrounds. The music effectively builds the tension. Otherwise, this is an undistinguished soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
