    Jack Stanfield (Ford...fun trivia: how many times has Harrison Ford played a "Jack" character?) is an executive of a financial institution who is confident that the Firewall for his online banking services is inpenetrable. However, when he is approached by Bill Cox (Bettany), he learns there is a flaw in his system...and Cox and his cohorts are hell bent on taking a withdrawal. WIth Stanfield's family under siege, Jack must think fast to save their lives. (Suzanne Hodges)

    Special features are the same as on the HD DVD and include a 15-minute conversation with Harrison Ford and Richard Loncraine, a three-minute Writing A Thriller featurette, and the theatrical trailer. Again, the movie goes right into "Play" mode.

    Like the HD DVD release, the VC-1-encoded 2.38:1 Blu-ray Disc picture shows well-rendered detail, accurate flesh tones, rich saturation, and very deep blacks. The Blu-ray release is slightly softer than the HD DVD release, but that most certainly can be attributed to the unmodified Samsung BD-P1000 we must use as our reference player. (Danny Richelieu)

    Differences between the HD DVD's Dolby® Digital Plus encoding and the Dolby Digital 5.1-channel encoding included with this disc are not instantly audible. The HD DVD does improve on the articulation and dynamics of the bass. (Danny Richelieu)
