The Incredible Burt Wonderstone tells the story of superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Buscemi). They have ruled the Las Vegas strip for years, raking in millions with illusions as big as Burt's growing ego. But lately the duo's greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly they've grown to loathe each other. Facing cutthroat competition from guerilla street magician Steve Gray (Carrey), whose cult following surges with each outrageous stunt, even their show looks stale. But there's still a chance Burt and Anton can save the act—both onstage and off—if Burt can get back in touch with what made him love magic in the first place. (Gary Reber)

The 2.40:1 1080p AVC picture is warmly colorful, with natural hues throughout. Saturation is strong, with rich primaries. Fleshtones are perfectly natural. Contrast is well balanced with deep, solid blacks and revealing shadow delineation. The picture is sharp and clear with fine detail exhibited, especially during close-ups of facial features, hair, clothing, and object texture. This is a terrific-looking picture with an alive, but perfectly natural color palette. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is frontal focused but energized throughout the soundfield during the large scale magic tricks. Dialogue is always intelligible but, at times, wanting in spatial integration. The music score provides a distant backdrop, with extension to the surrounds most of the time, but at times the brief interludes engage the soundfield more aggressively. Deep bass is limited to the larger illusions but is effectively strong. Overall, this is a surprisingly reserved surround presentation, given the subject. (Gary Reber)
